Pretty Purple Desk

I never thought I would paint a piece of furniture purple, but I'm head over heels for how this desk turned out!
It had been sitting in our friend's garage for over a year, yikes, and it was finally time to give it some love.

As you know, with most sewing tables, the top opens up and there is a big 'ole hole to place your machine. Since I was turning it into a desk, that hole needed to go.





I had the hubs help me unscrew the top and we replaced with a piece of pine from Home Depot. Good as new!





I painted the whole piece the prettiest shade of purple, gave it some gold dipped legs, and some gorgeous watercolor paper for the front of the drawers.
