DIY Anthropologie Inspired Washi Tape Dispenser

Looking for a way to store your countless rolls of Washi tape that are scattered over your desk? I was, too. I saw a storage dispenser at my local craft store, but let’s face it, I felt my beautiful rolls of tape deserved something better. I wanted my Washi tape stored in style, so I did what any crafter does…I made my own!

Here is what we used for this project:
A piece of scrap wood found in our shed (We used a 1 X 4)
Dowel rod (we used one 5/8″ thick)
Metal strip with teeth from a plastic wrap box
Wood Stain or paint
Wood glue
Jigsaw
Drill
Sandpaper
Router
Skill Saw
I started this project out by sketching out the pieces I needed. My hubby helped me take care of the rest!

We pieced the dispenser together and secured it with wood glue. Once we got to this point, I was really happy, but it needed something extra.

I added some color to the piece easily with some wood stain. It had to be pink, of course!

Now the project was complete and ready for me to add my rolls of Washi tape.

Isn't this the cutest? I’m using it every chance I get now. It’s just so much fun to pull out this pretty in pink doggie tape dispenser!! Visit Sparkles of Sunshine today for more details on how we made this fun project.
