I was at a women's retreat for my church, when I decided to check my phone between sessions. {I made a conscious effort to not have my phone with me the majority of the time...but the slight addict in me had to check between sessions!} I had a text from one of my co-workers telling me about a yard sale that her in-laws were having. She said, "There are tons of great pieces of furniture that I know you could paint!" Oh man!! Music to my ears... EXCEPT, I was at a women's retreat and wouldn't get to go to the yard sale! Well, being the sweet person that she is~she sent pictures and prices of what they had, I told her I wanted pretty much all of it, and she got them and took them to her house for me! I was stoked.
This is one of the many pieces that I got that day...and let me tell you, it is one of my favorites. {Yes, you will hear me say the same thing about some of the others when I post about them. I can't help it. They had some great things!}
Isn't it a beauty?!
While this was drying, I took the hardware and spray painted them with Rustoleum's Universal Hammered Dark Bronze (not an affiliate)! This stuff is UH-MAZING!
I painted one more coat, distressed the sides and corners just a tad, put the hardware back on and this baby was good to go!
What do you think of the transformation?
