Hand Painted Bird Bath

I have been wanting a birdbath, but the ones that I was seeing in the stores just weren't what I was envisioning. Took a look around my place and found a iron plant stand and a terracotta bowl and went from there......

I started with some initial "concept" drawings.

Painted the base planter stand a dark brown and the bowl different shades of blue to look like water.

Hand painted my little birds to look like they were playing in the water.

Added a large stone in the center and clear marbles, filled with water. Now I have a birdbath that I love!!!
