I’m so excited to share the reveal of our bathroom makeover! This mostly-cosmetic weekend project has made a huge difference for our main bathroom, which was in desperate need of some style.
This project took us about one weekend, working as a team, and I listed "moderate" difficulty since it was our first time cutting tile and trimming molding, so there was a bit of a learning curve.Pretty much since day one in this house I had been planning on a black & white look for this bathroom. For being such an old house, the bathroom is surprisingly updated (not that I’m complaining!) and so I wanted the decor to bring a classic, historic feel to this room.
To really give you the full effect, how about some Before & After action?
Obviously the main bathroom fixtures remained, so this was largely a cosmetic makeover. We installed beadboard + trim on the bottom half of the walls, re-painted, and tiled the sink backsplash with some high-impact black subway tile.
The overhead light cord got a coat of black paint, and the sink lighting got some new oversized-globe bulbs and a fresh coat of silver spray paint.
Hop on over to my blog for more photos and details! Plus, my inspiration board, and a follow-up poll to help me choose some new art for the walls - I could use your advice, Hometalk-ers! Merci!
